Did you ever wonder when you see profiles saying "liars, cheaters, and jerks" need not respond, if the poster doesn't actually want such people, deep down?

No I never did wonder that... I think if they say that in their profile then that's what they mean...

Liars and cheaters respond anyway. :And No I don't think anybody wants that at all.

When I read that, deep down, I assume they were part of those problems in the past.
"They doth protest too much" comes to mind more than anything. 
I have never felt the need to make that statement, and I'd like to think it's because I've never played those types of games. I would click to the next profile so fast my mouse would spin! Red Flags ...

I think it's sort of pointless -- as if any of the actual liars and cheaters and jerks are going to say, "Hey, that's ME! I'm a liar and a cheater and a jerk, I better not contact her!" |

No... I take people at their word until they give me a reason not to...

It still doesn't stop them when you have that on there. Just like I once had on my profile that if you have bad teeth don't contact me.. they still did..

Mine says those under 31, those with kids, don't bother, and they still occassionally hit me up. Waste of time, even to write back and tell them they waste my time.

Awesome responses. Real liars, cheaters, and jerks will lie their way in, or in denial of what they truly are. But there are so many people (both male and female) who for some unknown reason are attracted to the worst type of people.

I think that they don't want that in there life....
But, to me, I think that recently they have experienced a hurtful break up of a relationship.... and it isn't time for them to be dating. However, if their profile says 'all the people they have been with have lied, cheated.... etc....' Then like Melody said, I would wonder how they contributed to the past drama. |

Yea I wish i could believe that also but it's like how all woman want "nice" guys but we all know you want 80% bad boy and 20% nice... Well most anyways it's not always easy to read people, I think reason why online dating isnt for everyone. |

I keep telling women with big boobs to not contact me, and yet....to my dismay...they do it anyway! "Sigh" It really is hard being a simple dude in this world.

Well most anyways it's not always easy to read people, I think reason why online dating isnt for everyone. I agree people can send mixed signals.. If I say it that's what I mean.. As for the nice guy/bad boy argument I"m not touching it.. I think most nice guys that complain about women wanting bad boy types have either a) experienced just that and these women didn't know what they really wanted or b) the nice guy is confusing pushover/wimp with being nice... |

A few times, on another site, I made my profile say I wanted to be abused in every way possible, I wanted to be cheated on and yada yada yada. You wouldn't believe the responses I got from people who thought I was really serious.
