Im a fly...no brain..so, what difference does it make...? Not a brain like a mammal but they do have what is a brain to them.. Insects have a nervous system that is based on ganglia, or bundles of nerves that occur throughout the body. The three main ganlia in the head are fused to form the brain, or supraesophageal ganglion. This is connected to other ganglia by nerves.
