All men, even the most surly are influenced by affection. Only men in round houses need reply.

I'll paraphrase the OP.

Too many men are searching for a hot-looking free prostitute who can double as a housekeeper.

Too many women are searching for a Chippendale-qualified bad boy who can give them a thrill and the lifestyle of their dreams.

Actually, I admire the honesty of people who openly declare that they participate in the above-mentioned searches.

When it comes to relationships, some of the most honest, sincere people on Mingle2 are people who are atheists, agnostics or members of non-Christian religious affiliations. I would much rather have conversations with them than with any "Christian nice girl" who says she wants a nice guy, but who really wants a Chippendale-qualified bad boy who can give her a thrill and the lifestyle of her dreams.

Being a widower, I am in no hurry to find a woman who is willing to be my companion. I am simply thankful that a woman was willing to be my mate until death took her from me. Yet, I am not going to sit in a corner and watch people go by.

Light housekeepers?
Is there something wrong with heavy-set housekeepers?

i'm sorry, but i'm seriously look for a good smile, i think it tells a lot about someone. Men are the worst when it comes to women. Size zero, puhlease, dd breasts. sure, why I see more women wakling around with pleasantly plum men. even guys with great bods often have funky faces. . .

If I could count how many times I've been rejected on all the dating sites I've been since last July....

Truth is, in CT most women actually are looking for an ideal guy with headlines like "not gonna settle!" But they want over 6 ft tall, fit, intelligent, non-smoker, non-drinker, likes both art and motorcycles, etc. I've read it time and again.

In the past three months, I've been rejected more times than the entire rest of my life combined. It's because they want that modern James Dean. In the past, women approached me....I've been lucky that way. I don't mind a few extra pounds. I'm fussy, but I've usually been in that position where I could choose. I've never mistreated a woman. I don't sleep around. And yet, suddenly I'm a fish out of water because I'm chasing rather than being chased, and very few women even bother trying to get to know me before judging me. I just get dismissed out of hand. Kind of like a high school popularity contest.

In fairness, because I'm not used to the chase, because I took myself out of dating for several years, my game needs a tune up. I admit it. My profile photo needs updating. I need to update my look to fit the type of woman I'm looking for. I know all this, BUT it never used to be so much work for so little reward.

People come on, what wrong with people these days ?
There is no love in the world these days , its all about How we look, and what we got, And all we ever think about is can i get better, for god sake , wake up smell the roses people ...
GUYS, think about it Yes you may get that girl with the blonde hair / short skirt up around her *** ,,, who is anyones on the night, BUT you just try keeping her ???? She knows that she can have any guy any time she wants, SO really what hope do you have of ever keeping her ...

GIRLS, come on... six packs / 6ft tall / nice fast car / money / house / NO KIDS / Must look like Richard Gear or some hunky model / HO and i almost forgot 8 to 10 inch long OMG wake up, from dream land You to will never keep this type of guy , He can have any girl he wants , So why would he just have one .... think about it

Guys there are 1000"s of girls out there that have cloths on when they go out on the town, Bet ya if you gave half of them a chance you will find real love that will be there for yrs to come....try it just once pick a girl that you would never look at,,,, she will be the one to love you ,even if you dont have a six pack or car or money or house etc

Girls, Grab that dorky guy in the corner BET he will make you smile, and love you like a Princess, even with ya cloths on ... try it see if i am wrong ... I know i am right .... HOW...?????

So true, so many people do hide in the corners then they complain they dont meet anyone. What do you have to lose, have fun, life is too short, enjoy it!

Ya know I just read this entire thread and seems to me just about everyones response was in it's own way correct we are all guilty of wanting the beautiful woman or cute bad boy and more than likely that's won't ever change for most people. Heck look at me I ain't got no movie star looks or nuttin but I have been able to meet a few great people on here and I know nothing will never come of it but at least I learned there are still some good people out there. Just putting my own two cents in :-)

what it comes down to is that there is too much competition on the internet. they have the whole world to pick from instead of just around town...JMHO
