Every communication in the world is collected by the U.S. govt. and super computers sort through certain words or key phrases. Its called the Eschellon Project. Look it up. Every signal in the airwaves whether it be radio, CB, cell phone or Morse Code is picked up. Every email, even private ones are collected. Every phone call from a land line too is collected. The majority of these collected communications are dumped from the system after they are processed through the computers. But they do keep backup systems in place and running in case something happens in the future, and they can go back and retrieve the communications to find out the particulars...who, what, when, where. ![]() |

might not be a bad idea if not misused,, but how often is THAT type of authority not misused
I have seen plenty of potentially violent and threatening personalities online that I wouldnt mind SOMEONE paying a little closer attention to,,, but I doubt the government even has manpower to watch over all the potentially loony, violent nutjobs who post online loonies like this,,, 2121,113 views1,124 Get Politics Alerts Email Comments 1,124 The chairman of the Delaware Republican Party received a death threat last week over his support for Rep. Mike Castle (R-Del) over Tea Party challenger Christine O'Donnell in the state's upcoming Senate primary, a party official confirmed to the Huffington Post. The threat, issued in the form of an email, told chairman Tom Ross that he deserves "a bullet in the head" for backing "political ***-kissing RINO's" [Republicans in name only]. "It is one thing to have your country screwed over by socialists, it is far worse to be backstabbed by people pretending to be your friends," the email read. "We will either rid the GOP of pieces of **** like you, or we will start a new 'Common Sense Conservative' party and render you all useless." The threat was serious enough to compel Ross to leave his home, temporarily, and to spur an investigation from the Department of Justice said the official with the Delaware GOP (a DoJ official did not immediately return a request for comment). It also was sinister enough to alarm state party officials who are unaccustomed to not just threats of violence but even to heated political contests like the one unfolding in the state's Republican primary. "It is just scary what is going on right now," the official said. "Tom is a loyal and dedicated Republican officer in Delaware... the position is unpaid and his job as party chairman is to defend and promote the candidates... It is disgusting, it is amazing and it has no place in our democracy." The identity of the emailer was not immediately known, though the official said that the person "wrote his name and address" on the note -- providing obvious information for authorities to use. Coming at the end of an emotional and hard-fought campaign, it's difficult to gauge both the purpose and the fallout of the death threat. If confirmed as both serious and sincere, it provides yet another piece of evidence that recently politics has veered into something more troubling than previously seen. O'Donnell supporters, undoubtedly, will be skeptical of the story's emergence at this late stage of the primary fight, noting that Castle is the primary beneficiary if her candidacy is seen as inspiring political intolerance, if not downright violence. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/09/13/delaware-gop-chair-threat_n_714525.html |

Okay, I get it...I myself respect law enforcement people, they have a difficult job and these RW nutjobs are even threatening them making their job more hazardous. Thanks! I dont trust them as far as I can throw them they have just as many theives, liars, and misuse of power as any other agency or criminal out there, they just do it with a badge of authority. They are guilty of spousal abuse in many cases. As a social worker we have to keep the domestic abuse houses secret from law enforcement as well as the public for the safety of those seeking help. Now, if you can not trust them not to give out addresses to other law enforcement guilty of domestic violence. But then again I see it........ And wouldn't you calling me an insurgent kind of like the pot calling the kettle black? |

And when you log onto any kind of "dot. gov" goverenment website, they lock onto your computer and copy everything you have on it while you are logged on. They don't even need to do that. Every branch of the Government has hackers working for them. Everytime they catch a really good hacker you cam either cut the $hit and come work for us or goto Leavenworth. Take your pick. It's the only time in my life where I have seen the victim of a crime hire the suspect. |

And how do you figure ME as anti-government? I served you know...and still do...I do care that we weed out corruptions and hold people accountable for their actions. What are you, one of the "2nd Ammendment remedy" types? |

Even with the problems in the police department, I appreciate their help when I need it so I will not scorn them.
As to the OP, I understand it is common for this to happen in other countries. I guess the other countries do not shine on this kind of thing too much. |

Yep just so we're straight I will call on my 38 and 22 to protect me because it is going to protect me a lot faster than any law enforcement to get to me. I believe in Freedom to Bare Arms, Freedom of Press, Freedom of religion, Freedom of speech........I believe in freedom of which you so proclaim to protect but in the same breath show rebellioous towards and no I am not an insurgent I do not look for a fight but maintain my beliefs. When law enforcement agents go into people's with warrant they take things from those homes that should in all rights if a confiscation operation......should be logged inventorily not placed in pockets to take home.....those are the ones that protect us......they should be sold at auction if individual is found guilty in that type of situation........they not only do that but have been known to lie for personal gain in groups to protect each other from trouble........they fabricate evidence and get convictions from it just because they don't like someone and have seen it happen.......some people do have pasts I have seen in counseling but have seen this happen to those that truly change sometimes just bcs a cop cannot let the past go........so get off your accusatory behind and watch what you say you show insurgency yourself dear sir and I am so sure your gun is way bigger than mine but I do know how to use it and safely.......I do shooting practice regularly and fish and hunt so......I won't be a city girl and I can milk a cow and gather eggs if need be I can grow crops ....... think I'll be just fine thanks...I can track build traps tie nots work on a vehicle shoot a gun bait my own hook carve an animal and gut and filet my own fishes catch my own bait start a fire and bank it.....have good day sir and I really hope that vessel didn't just pop
