Ray BTW Viv Bill Mary Carol Don and myself are all in the CST time zone Mary Deb Carole Jayne are in the EST time zone.. I think I got that right and I guess that leaves me in the twilight zone eh? EST time here.   Sorry Betty its not that I forgot its because I wanted to make sure I will let you post it all next time

The power went out, but is back.
The water was cut, and may not be back for a week, in some parts,OK Here. The roads (main ones in Kaiapoi/ Rangiora) may take till Xmas to fix The sewerage is in a parlous state, but OK here! Generally, everything in the garden is rosie! 
I'm havin' a beer& there has been NO damage here abouts. |

Good morning friends, from the land of a thousand shakes. yes, the quake was centred 33 kilometres from Christchurch & at a depth of 33 kilometers also. Currently we are having after- shocks of fairly large size, but hey, it's just another day at the office. I'm about 15 k's north of Ch-CH. and its tricky tying when the keyboard won't stay still. I am soooooooooooo happy you are OK

At 4.35am, the locals are running around like headless chooks, while I'm in bed. I was stayin' warm, no matter what. Lets face it, what can you do? It's no good going outside & telling the earth to quit it, it don't listen. I got up at 6.10am when my youngest rang to see if the phone still worked, & tell me my older daughter was calling in after work, at about 6.45am. Since she had power at her place, I went over and bludged some hot coffee, A MUST HAVE !! It's called settling the non -existant nerves. Ray I take it that chooks = idiots but what does bludged mean
