This has always been an international site. Most members don't even realize there are forums here. The posters are a small fraction of the members. Maybe they are noticing the forums more these days

Wraith - you can set your search parameters to only look within a geographical region. I know that... I've had most of my luck with mutual match... And it seems the only ones that try to match up with me lately, are from Russia, and Peru, and India. I would rather see more from Texas because that is the parameter I've set in all of my searches. oh I misunderstood earlier...yes I have the same thing happening. B.T.W. Just to be fair... I'm French, German, Irish, Dutch, Swedish, Norweigen, and Native American. And The French part of me... Is French Canadian. Most of my 800 plus living relatives live in Ontario, Quebec, Toronto, and British Colombia. |

I never thought this site was for the US only, seeing as how there are many, many people from other countries on here as well. There's foreigners on here?! Get rid of them I say!

I'm not sure what you are saying wraithme ... if you update your profile the first line asks you to specify a country ... and all of them are listed. This has never been just an American site - it is an international one. I am Canadian - my being here in no way suggests that I am 'targeting Americans'. That would be like me saying that the Americans who write to me are 'targeting Canadians'. Many of us, especially if we are in smaller centers, have difficulty finding local people. Sometimes it is just a matter of geography. I'm not talking about you... I count Canada as part of us because we at least share the same continent. When I first signed up for this site... I don't recall any pulldown for country. That's why I was asking. I'm not asking to be a jerk... I was genuinely curious. There's no need to be defensive. Really? how very generous of you...do you also classify Mexico this way? Personally I love to talk, laugh, debate, with peeps from all over the world its called listening to other view points or expanding your mind...really, you should try it eh

You should read on... Then you'll get the big picture. I wasn't complaining, nor discriminating. I am of many different origins from all over the world. I was simply asking. I find it funny how many people can have a defensive response to an honest genuine question. I wasn't asking for scrutiny... I was just curious? Sorry if I offended anyone... I'm not here to impress anyone. You know... These forums used to be a lot more open-minded, and really fun! I feel like I'm under the eye of judgment. Most of these foreign profiles I've seen too are scams. I think it's these two sentences that bother me most. They are clearly not open minded. Most of these foreign profiles I've seen too are scams. I think it's these two sentences that bother me most. They are clearly not open minded. In summary it says we all want your women and chances are we're a scam anyway.... Probably not far from the truth however. Considering there are some countries that used to and to some extent, still do, kill the female babies off, that's bound to cause a problem when those men reach maturity. I'm getting tired of getting hit on by them, and they really do only want greencards. So did your dad move to Texas or did his wife move to Australia? |
