Good. As if they couldn't screw it up more...lol, there's this.

GOP civil war rages with successes by conservative insurgents

"A Republican civil war is raging, with righter-than-thou conservatives dominating ever more primaries in a fight for the party's soul. And the Democrats hope to benefit.

The latest examples of conservative insurgents' clout came Tuesday at opposite ends of the country. In Florida, political newcomer Rick Scott beat longtime congressman and state Attorney General Bill McCollum for the GOP gubernatorial nomination. And in Alaska, tea party activists and Sarah Palin pushed Sen. Lisa Murkowski to the brink of defeat, depending on absentee ballot counts in her race against outsider Joe Miller.

The GOP is likely to survive its bitter intraparty battles in such states as Alaska and Utah, even if voters oust veteran senators in both. But tea party-backed candidates might be a godsend to desperate Democrats elsewhere -- in Nevada, Florida and perhaps Kentucky, where the Democrats portray GOP nominees as too extreme for their states.

If Murkowski joins Sen. Bob Bennett, R-Utah, as a victim of party activists who demand ideological purity, other Republicans are still likely to win in November, though Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., would have to deal with more maverick members who are loathe to compromise. And the conservative insurgency is hardly all-powerful, as Sen. John McCain proved by easily winning renomination in Arizona despite a challenge from the right by J.D. Hayworth."

I am very pleased that you posted this.

This is a perfect example of how stupid and out of touch the left wing is.

The only reason Obama got elected was because he sold his "change" theme. People were sick of Bush and he was the right person at the right time. So they thought.. Now we are in a situation where the dumbos have spent us into oblivion, far surpassing the free spending republicans that preceded them. So, instead of the dumbos taking people like Barney Frank to task for his incompetence they are just going to send him right back so he can build on his brilliant record of financial prognostication. Remember the "Fannie and Freddie are sound" comments 2 months before they collapsed?

That is the guy we want in charge of the House Financial Services Committee.. LMAO!!!

So now that the republican party has begun removing the over-spending louts from the ranks of the party, it's a bad thing?

How many times do we here from Obama that it was these same over-spending louts that drove the economy in the ditch?

Well, excuse us for wanting to get rid of these same people that Obama is referring to.

There is a difference between saying you are going to change something and actually doing it.

Regardless of who is running, the dumbos are going to take a serious beating come November and I for one would rather see fiscal conservatives taking over than the same idiots that "ran us in the ditch".

These people are not fiscal conservatives...people forget that the GOP got us into this mess with their economics..give to the rich hoping it will "trickle down"..and Obama is turning it around...and let's not forget that Obama promised change but warned it may take several years to recover.

Bush could not run again...what's that about? The McCain/Palin ticket was a joke and I bet secretly that McCain wanted to lose anyway...having Palin on the ticket ensured his loss...the woman is an idiot by even minimal standards.

Heh, the GOP SPENT like drunken sailors on shore leave...many of the bailouts started under the GOP and Repulsivan WH...lying about recent history only works to sway morons...the recovery process from the disasters of past GOP rule will take time.

Finish the movie yet? Understand who the real enemies are yet?

Oh yes.. Bush was the one that twisted Greenspans arm and forced him to lower interest rates after the DOTCOM crash. And Bush was the one that forced banks to lower lending standards or face the charge of racism. Bush was the one cooking the books at Fannie and Freddie. He was the one that walked away with $60 million in bonuses thanks to the ENRON style accounting that went on. Bush was the one that encouraged people to over-leverage and refinance their loans so they could buy new cars and big screen tvs. Bush was the one that said 2 months before Freddie and Fannie collapsed that they "were fundamentally sound".

Bush was an over-spending fiscal liberal who's economic policy made me sick. However, he was not wholly responsible for the meltdown.

I suggest you take a closer look at the facts. Spend a day away from the left wing propaganda sites and actually take an objective look at who did what and when. Who knows, you might actually learn something..

It was the Dippic and the GOP as well as the Corporate Socialist's policies. Do you even understand the concept of Corporate Socialism...egads, I guess it's not me that will not see the truth...The Corporation documentary completes exposing the perfect storm that ruined our economy. Our country.
