A Melbourne woman has chosen her pet crocodiles over her husband.

Vicky Lowing said she adores the three crocodiles who have taken over her home and would never give them up for anyone.

She said a lot of people think she's "queer", but she does not care.

Lowing and her 14-year-old freshwater crocodile Jimmy were a regular sight around the neighbourhood. She also had Fovian, who had taken over the family bathtub and Jilfia, who had her own tank in the garage.

The family cat had learnt to keep its distance from the three crocodile pets, but Lowing's husband had not been so accepting.

After asking her to choose between him and the crocodiles, Lowing got a divorce.
