I am also single, never married and have no kids. Though, what I find is that guys ask me why I haven't been married yet and why I have no kids, making it seem like it's wrong since I'm over 30.

Yeah, it's like 99.9% of the population has this "default setting" where they believe something is wrong with you if you don't get married and have kids. For all of the comments I get along the lines of "I can't believe you're still single," there's almost always a follow-up of "A guy like you should be starting a family" -- as if it's mandatory or something. My parents should not have had kids -- they did it out of inertia and societal expectation, not because they had any desire to become parents. I am not about to duplicate their mistake. |
