Over the weekend my friend, Valli, & I have watched The Book Of Eli, Lady Jane, Dead Poets Society & a concert DVD of Celtic Thunder that I got in the mail the other day.

Stolen Summer
Directed by Pete Jones, this heart-tugging family drama follows the divine mission of Pete O'Malley (Adi Stein), an Irish-Catholic 8-year-old in Chicago who aims to get his terminally ill Jewish friend (Mike Weinberg) into heaven -- through religious conversion. The veteran adult cast includes Aidan Quinn as Pete's insular, disapproving father and Kevin Pollak as the genial, broadminded rabbi whose son is dying. Life as a House Faced with a sobering diagnosis of terminal cancer, George (Kevin Kline) decides to construct a beautiful new house on his land overlooking the Pacific Ocean, while at the same time trying to connect with his estranged son (Hayden Christensen). Kristin Scott Thomas and Mary Steenburgen co-star in this moving dramedy that speaks eloquent volumes about the fragility -- and resilience -- of the human condition. |
