Is that from Arachnophobia? I'm not a big fan of spiders. lol. But I do appreciate their role in the ecology of things. As a kid though, I used to watch spiders breed and how they keep their eggs in a sac. I even remember waiting for the sac to open and the young crawlies would come out. |

A film was made back in the 1990's wherein a large spider from the jungles of South America was accidently transported in a crate with a dead body to America where it mates with a local spider. Soon after, the residents of a small California town disappear as the result of spider bites from the deadly spider offspring. Oh, speaking of which, my dog gave birth to puppies last night. Hee. And so as not to digress from the topic at hand, I liked the spider scenes in The Mist where the horde of baby spiders came out from inside a living person; and hailing from a dimensional rift, the adult versions of these spiders had large fangs and shot webbing that melted through skin like acid. |
