Topic: A question for the ladies... | |

Just don't call me late for dinner

Doesn't really bother me as long as the context isn't derogatory.

Now time and time again I see men looking for "Ladies" "Women" "Girls" and "Females." Now I know there is a right way and a wrong way to approach things and people. But I have a singe question that just burns at me... Do any of you ladies out there think it is demeaning for a man to refer to you as (in this way) "looking for females?" It almost sounds like they are looking for animals, not people. So what is your take on this hot topic ladies??? Is this yet another taste of how clueless men really are???? No, I will call them as they deserve it. Let's stop the apology tour early on. |

Is this yet another taste of how clueless men really are???? Nah, we know how clueless you guys are so that isn't really a valid argument anymore |

I don't usually refer to women as Females myself but everybody has their own way of swimming in the pond. Does floating count as swimming? |

I don't usually refer to women as Females myself but everybody has their own way of swimming in the pond. Does floating count as swimming? I rarely do it actually. And I would only use it in a plural form.."females" but I never call anyone as "hey female!" , neither "hey woman!"... I called plenty of the women here "ladies"...and yet I don't remember being called a gentleman by any of the ladies. Of course..that's fine, I don't know if I'm a gentleman or not, that's not up to me, I'm usually addressed as "dude". Maybe I should start addressing women as "chicks", hey I'm just trying to be fair. |

Not true, I have called you a gentlemen before

Not true, I have called you a gentlemen before Did you call me "Hey Gentleman"! Nope! Doesn't count. Sorry! Next! |

gurl (with a u ), chick, lady, woman ... female seems too impersonal somehow ... but really, I don't care as long as you don't call me the 'b' word ... I am not one and I don't like it

I miss being called "Ms"...ah, the good 'ol days
How about Skinnies or broads?
LMAO some might like skinnies but I doubt any would go for broads
Never broad! and Shorty gags me! Have enjoyed "hey, woman!" in a sweet teasing way. I'm ok with Chick. There's something disturbing about Baby when used too soon, but Babe doesn't bother me, don't know why. Female in a profile seems kind of clinical but not offensive.
