I think S/N's ARE interesting for sure. I DO steer away from guys writing me with a lot of sexual innuendo in their S/N .. because I want someone who puts more value in themselves than that.

You know the ones. Either 69 somewhere in there or "lickalot" or "wannadoU" ..


I have to admit I've received some interesting comments to my S/N. Either someone assumes it's theater-related ie "closing curtain - FADE to black .. or some think I'm being dark and say my profile is so upbeat why would I choose that s/n.



But I chose Fade2Black because it's one of my fav Metallica songs .. yep, just that simple. And it's part of my info finder, whether a guy is into rock and knows what it means.




So what do you think people 'get' from YOUR S/N?
Was it intentional or do you find people reading into it what you did not expect ..

Oh ya .. or the "I'm Mr Blue" or "LonelyinKS" .. yada yada

A lot of people assume mine means I sing, but I don't. It's the name of a Matt Nathanson song.

I stay away from the ones with sexual references, drug references (there's lots of user names with 420 in them) and ones that say they're lonely.

I've had a lot of exchanges regarding mine. I actually have fun knowing what people think about it, as the interpretation changes from person to person. Like recently, I had a very interesting and original input from someone.

The name I have has nothing to do with anything sexy, really, which is the common misconception. Well, unless one has a foot fetish, as a friend put it. The story behind it, is that I had red laced socks as a kid and I liked it. The first few names I picked were, if I remember correctly, already taken and I was too lazy to come up with something creative.
