Not to be so cynical but I can see this coming.

So yes she can go with you but someone needs to provide a third ticket for the friend that will be coming along for safety's sake. You just never know about these internet dates. On the night of the show the friend will be ill but another friend ( a guy) will be using that third ticket. But it's not a big deal because she and he are just friends. Well, they used to go out a along time a go, but there is nothing going on now.

And about a wk after the show she'll tell you she is so sorry but she and the old friend are back together.
