I have a kindle reader on my Itouch. The jury is still out. Only downloading free books right now.

I prefer the real thing too.

No I would not take my Kindle to the beach

So????....Do you like it??????

Oops! Sorry, I was offline for a while and didn't see this!

Yes! I absolutely love it!!! I was reading in bed shortly after I got it and I realized an hour had gone by. I normally cannot read that long without eye strain, headache or my hands hurting. I was so excited. bigsmile

ereaders are great and don't understand the resistance to them. sure I still love my books and won't stop buying them however when I do get my Kindle, it will be amazing to be able to have thousands of publications at my fingertips. I often have two or three books on the go at one time; usually a fiction, non-fiction and self help so a Kindle or equivalent is awesome. I will probably get the Kindle (my sources say it is the best option) but I really want an iPad.

So kindle is a great choice.

I have thousands of books at my fingertips. 2056 currently, with another etimated 3000 that are my parents... I prefer the real thing.

I find it interesting watching the commercials for it and the person is using them at the beach. Wouldn't that be kind of risky to damage the electronics?

Yep, I took it to the beach. However, I did not take it into the water for a swim.

So if you have one of these things and you run into the author of the book your reading, do you just have him sign the screen?

No, but the back would work if it was a Sharpie pen.

*note to self....get a Sharpie pen to keep in purse.*
