One of the ones I found most disturbing they showed us in church. I think it was called "Rapture" and they were using guillotines on everyone.

Zombieland Forgot about that one. I did include Land of the Dead, but both the original Dawn and Day of the Dead fit this genre too. |

A neat fact about Jerimiah, is that it was done by the same person who did Babylon 5. |

The Mist Even more so if they would have stuck to King's original ending. |

Every once in awhile they re run the first season. |

If you read, you'd probably like S.M. Stirling's Dies the Fire series. Quite an interesting look on how people and civilization could change after a world altering event.
Always thought it could be made into a decent movie or mini series ( I know, a bit off topic, but couldnt think of any other movies, just one I wish there was :P) |

The Book of Eli (2010) is that any good? i've heard mixed reviews on it... I just saw it today and thought it was really good. Sort of a cross between The Road and Blade I thought. |

I do like books of this genre too- Stephen King's The Stand, Robert McCammon's Swan Song. Whitley Strieber's books Warday, Nature's End, The Coming Global Superstorm(which was the inspiration for The Day After Tomorrow). Lucifer's Hammer by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. And Roger Zelazny's Damnation Alley. |
