If you're like me, you think everything on the radio today sucks. I dig local music. It's the intimacy involved that seems to make it better. Anyway, post some obscure music from where you're from... don't be skeerd, represent yo hood!

You know, I'm not surprized.
Apathy is taking over... There's no good music, because the same people are listening to the same thing over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again... (etc.) Bleh. |

it's been a long time- several years - 5,6 since I've been involved with the local music scene regularly but I'll give it a try
a band that I know is still going strong is one of my son's best mates from school, his brother & a couple friends - they're really good and have a strong local, and not so local following: "From the little enclave of Crystal Lakes near Dayton, Ohio, please meet Electric Smoke" and once again my apologies as I don't know the tags on here to post links http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbcfIAA2plc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJJEbX57wvU&feature=related the black cigarettes, playing Electric Smoke in the 2nd video are now defunct as far as I know....sure their members are pistol totin somewhere tho mostly do post punk / metal - they have a good garage sound and have cut a couple of cds |

and then from the scenic east side of Dayton please say howdy to the Lead Sled Dogs - been around for awhile
they started out doing covers of disturbed and Godsmack, RHCP the punks are still at McGuffy's ? but I could be wrong - bars tend to look alike on the inside - but it looks like my old stompin grounds - band members - very nice people BTW http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6GHN1WsFRg I haven't actually seen them perform since '02 or '03 |
