I turn off my phones and stop anyone from contacting me; I do not answer emails. Because the two most wonderful aspects of my career entail people picking my brain, needing my guidance, and just being there for my clients all day long – I want to sequester myself from everything and anyone. It’s hard for me to turn-off my brain though, and I have a hard time saying “NO” when people ask me for advice when I am not working or - for people who are not my clients – but my friends - who come to me with questions. I love what I do which means I keep going. I become a vegetable and I do nothing at the end of the day. I get bored easily though. I end up meeting friends, working in the yard, playing with the doggies or reading.

I work a swing shift..so I climb, hike and play before work. After I change into sweats, take off the bra, have a little something, something to help me relax...chill, mingle, meditate, bed.

I crank up the radio on the way home and let the music relax me. Then, lately, working out. Feed the critters in the evening, settle everyone in for the night, hot shower, and relax. In between this, play with the pups, water the garden, etc. I relax when I sleep.
