There is a little diner around here called the Greasy Spoon. They make the best cheeseburgers with grilled onions, pickles and mustard around. You get three for $2.50. They are not huge, but bigger than a slider from White Castle.

There is some fridays restaurants in Portland, I remeber ferrels when I was a kid especially on my birthday, quite embarrassing because they would make a big scene with whistles and sirens and bring a great big ice cream banana split and sing happy birthday I never let my parents live that down

Mmmmmmm the perfect burger for me....
Thick...juicy....cooked on the grill...stuffed with cheddar cheese and jalapenos and then topped with pepper jack cheese and salsa on a toasted bun. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY |
mine is simple mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and bacon...

How I make my own depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes it's just mayo, ketchup, cheese, and lettuce. Other times I add fried onions and bacon. Or sometimes I leave off mayo and ketchup and add salsa.

While I do appreciate the restaurant recommendations....that really isn't what I am looking for.
For those of you who have posted your ultimate burger...I thank you. Keep 'em coming. I am always looking for new ways to make a burger. |

I make my own burger patties by mixing portions of ground beef, pork, onions, garlic and mushrooms. Salt and pepper too, of course. They taste great fried or grilled.
