well as a desert storm veteran i have been in their shoes and no it is not as easy to kill another humanbeing as you think.but when it is your life or theirs you have to choose talk to anyone that has beeen there

Veterans against war? They do have a right to be against wars, they had to have regretted their decision to join the military, and that`s too bad because no one can truly be prepared for the damage that engaging in combat can cause (yet, it WAS a decision). And even, if they changed their minds, there is no backing out. Being drafted had to suck. Has the public always been informed of the truth? No. Do I appreciate our country`s military force? Yes! Am I happy that I haven`t been killed by any enemy on my own soil, YES. All citizens of the U.S. aren`t perfect (this country is full of thieves, cheats, junkies, child abusers, murderers, rapists, etc.), so how can we expect people who represent our country (politicians) to be?

exactly, if you can find a character trait amongst civilians, you can find it amongst soldiers or police (although we hope certain character traits are found in smaller proportions )

It's not hard if your in a life threatening situation, it's actually an easy decision to make. I almost had to make it once doing LP when my partner got stabbed and I had the guy by the neck(still weilding the knife I might add) and choked him out, and if need be I could have taken his life and I wouldn't have thought twice.
