Other than the obvious...attraction, what exactly is a guy in a wheelchair suppose to possess? I cannot change that night. It happened and its done. I'm Southern and my manners, integrity, etc. have never left me.
Have fun with your replies. I have thick skin and enjoy a good laugh. I'm looking forward to reading each one. |

A wheelchair, to me, is simply a pair of feet that do not ever get tired. You must possess what all men must possess: A heart to love someone with; a smile that is not afraid to be seen when that special someone comes home after a long day and is as glad to see you as you are them. Hands to hold her with & fingers to touch her with. Eyes to look at her with, memorizing every line and curve to her face. A voice that fills her ears with the wonderful sound of you laughing. A strong set of shoulders so she can lie her head on when needed (or, just wants to). A great sense of humor and an optimistic outlook on life...well, that is awful handy as well. Don't forget, common sense and intellect, as well. You want to be able to stimulate one another intellectually and she must know that she can trust you, and you her.
Does this help? |

Okay, know that already and possess those qualities. Alright, the holding hands is different, but that's just part of the paralysis. Adaptation and improvisation is not a problem. So, I guess it just boils down to the right woman taking a leap of faith.
