Sometimes kids tell me the nicest things ever. My friend has a daughter, 8 year old, I watched her grow up and played with her since she was born.
So as usual my friend asks me time to time "So when is the wedding?" And I'm like "get me a girl first and I'll see what I can do!"

So his daughter is listening and then tells his dad:

-Dad? Can I go on a date with him? He doesn't have a girlfriend..

And then turns to me:

-Would you take me to the ice cream place in your mercedes?

So I'm like laughing and say "But honey, the mercedes needs some repairs right now, how about we go with the blue car?

She goes: "Alright, but don't be looking at the other girls!"

I'm like "I'll promise I won't, they aren't as pretty anyway".

So she goes

"Yeah I know, isn't that a sad thing? But don't worry I'm with you anyway.

Than I just lost it...

She sounds like my daughter when she was little. Katie had a crush on a guy I worked with, so she asked me to invite him to her seventh birthday party.... So I told him she wanted him to come, his reply was "But I have to bring my girlfriend, she will get mad if I leave her home." I figured my daughter would be heartbroken over his answer but her reply had both he and I in hysterics.......




"Oh...FINE!!! But she CAN'T hold his hand while he is there!!!"
