How many dates have you actually been on through internet dating? Were they good? Also, how many people did you message before you finally got a serious response?

About four or so...3 1/2 years, four dates, a little over .8 success. Which is pretty good, about 80% success, however none of them lasted past a few dates.

I've met many people on here for lunch dates.....and then there is this one guy with the fuzzy upper lip...I decided to keep him!!

Zero, I do much better in real life, I would of thought it the other way around. I know it sounds like bragging but it is not meant that way....I am routinely hit on by women 25 to 31 (four this year) in real life. I go out with them and are friends but tell them they are to young for a serious relationship. So I go online to find someone closer to my own age and I can't even get anyone to look at me...I am truly puzzled. Except the Philippines sites, A guy could get trampled to death!

P.S. I am open to suggestions and comments as to why this is not working for me.

Online permits no one 'instant gratification.' Approach it the same way you would in real life and typically you will find someone, but then again...it took me a ****ing year before I even got a date out of this site.

Thanks, good advice....I don't give a crap in real life, but here I am trying....I can see that could be a problem...lol!

1 meeting and i went against my better judgment since i didn't really find her attractive from her pictures. in person was no better and i didn't really like her personality.

I've been about 5 dates that I met from Internet dating sites. None have panned out even as far as wanting a second date, but one has become a pretty good "friend", though I don't see her quite as much anymore since she got engaged a couple of months ago.

I have dated 2 locally that belonged to this site, it was fun but didnt amount to much, the one lady was of the Lakota religion like me and brought her homemade flute over my dog Cherokee and I loved the music she played!!

I've been on a number of dates. Some went better than others.

But I have met some folks from online, I knew her and I chatted with her here, but when I saw her in real life I didn't tell her. I 'ran into' one at the bookstore and we chatted a bit, posted pics here for a while. Ran into one gal that had invited me over to her house at 1 am the first time we chatted. Dated one for a couple months that had a profile up here before we met.................

The second actual date has turned into the most amazing relationship!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been on a few dates from here and another site. One was a 7 week move in situation and I left for my own reasons, and we are great friends. Another was great and we are still great friends. A few other dates, with no connection, but nice dates.

And a few crazy internet bizarros that went on FARRRRRRR too long, to which I say.......Email a few times, and not on and on and on and on, phone calls, but not into the far reaches of time, then meet sooner than later, and get eyes to eyes.

I had to add that I am finding locals to date that are not on any sites, and that is a nice change and refreshing.....

A lot of first dates from hell, A couple of others that turned into great friendships, a couple of short-term relationships that didn't work out for one reason or other, one is still a good friend, and one that ended very badly. Distance is a major issue for me though in connecting with folks. I've learned not to set my expectations too high before we meet and you have to spend a bunch of time with folks to allow the fasade to fade and begin to see the person they really are...

Met close to 100 people in person. Yep, you heard right.

Had a "meet" at my house a few years ago for a bunch of us on another site who knew each other online but had not met in person. We had a blast.

Met many men for first dates .. usually decided to end it there. I am always open to meeting someone, realizing that perhaps in person there will be connection I may have missed online. But usually my first sense was right

Been to both sides of the USA to meet people.

Have had 3 LTR's (in person) from online relationships. Each one was a learning experience and good for me to go through.

Met one here. Great guy! Went out several times, but I realized that at that time, I didn't have it in me yet to get into a full-blown relationship, so had to let him go for some other lucky lady.

First of all, im not looking for a wife or GF. Im looking for someone who lives close to me, that can go riding with me once in a while, and become friends. I do chat with several wonderful ladies on here, but so far, I have not met anyone even close to Red Bluff, so im still waiting to be discovered

I got stood up a couple times...

I've been on a few dates from people I met online, but no luck... It seems the guys I've gone on dates with seem to find someone better and are in a relationship with them after I date them.
