Machines hissing and beeping and I lay there
Aware yet unaware
Shrill beeps emit
Hurried frantic they pile in
Code blue is called
I am here I scream yet no one hears me
I look at them
I am looking from above
The pace is still hurried and frantic
Something is pulling me away
I fight it I want to watch
It is stronger than I
So in the end I follow
Softer and softer the sounds from below grow
Brighter and brighter the light becomes
Yet it doesn't hurt my eyes
I hear her voice
Softly,.sadly telling me its not time
Pictures form in my mind and I see
Horrible unspeakable things
Such pain, so much blood
The seas are filled with it
Everything so different
So dark and cold
Little life is left
What there is suffers greatly
A louder voice speaks
Telling me it must change
It must be changed
Few can change it but they must succeed
If we are to carry on
She pushes me back away from her
Telling me to go back
I skam into my body
With a sudden jerk I open my eyes
Clawing at the tube down my throat
Pulling at the wires attached to me
They sedate me
Calming me
Slipping into a disturbed slumber
Filled with the visions of whats to come...
