Told ya Spain still had a chance! Really! They were careful but not too cautious. Great chances very one-sided for Spain. Where did Germany disappear to? 
Spain carefully but steadily pressed. They outplayed them soundly. Spain richly deserves this opportunity. Holland vs. Spain.
and Mitch - we heard you. Definitely could be Holland's year this year. It really is one of those history making matches. Holland's first victory if they win and a dramatic first win for Spain if they prevail. I really love this sport!

Spain is saved by Puyo..otherwise the game would have ended in a penalty shootout which could have gone either way.
Don't know what happened to Germany...really this is not how they played in previous games... now they were playing like a bunch of p....sies , they were messing around with the ball, like it was made out of porcelain. |

okey...who you rootin for tonight? i'm pretty neutral. kind of pulling for uruguay just because of the fight and determination they've had to show to get here and because germany somehow reverted to the ultra-boring style last game. there are too many europeans in the top 4. plus, they have such a small country and such nice form...
but germany has had a great cup run and they are playing well even without Klose so i'm fine with either in fact lets see a few more goals and counters then ET and PKs!!

Actually, come to think of it..Uruguay did put up a good fight to be at this point..they play good defense even if the Germans are playing a more technical game... Oh...rain started... and plus...the Uruguay players are WAAAAAAAYYYYY hotter than the Germans :) But marketing perspective... need to root for Adidas...so Germany.. |
