Some prisoners have internet access. I guess it depends on their crime and their prison behavior. I'm not sure the requirements for being able to use the internet, but some are able to

usually inmates aren't allowed to access social networking sites. however there are people that will set up accounts for said inmate so that they can have some connection with the outside world. or so they can get mail and stuff like that. i guess it makes prison life easier. i wouldn't know from personal experience. but i do know some people that actually commit themselves to nothing but prison pen-pals. it COULD be a scam. someone wanting money or what not.
just be careful. you never know what people are capable of anymore |

At the risk of sounding redundant redundant: delete. Sounds dangerous, and is more than likely a scam.

I would be careful, I know that inmates in michigan are not allowed internet access. But My brother had a myspace before he went to prison and i check it for him, but i dont go emailing people asking them to write to him, i just keep his friends updated and send messages from them.
