Topic: Why do people post pictures... | |

of themselves taken in their messy houses???
Why would you want to post a picture that shows you're a slob? |
It does help you weed out those slobs

At least we get to see what they are like.

Sure does, but really what are they thinking?
How hard is it to clean up just the area behind your webcam? |
I think its even worse when the pic is obviously 10 years or more old.

It always amazes me too. They probably don't even notice the mess around them anymore.

I have wondered that myself. Not the best way to make a good first impression.

I wanted to take a picture of my old office... nothing but papers and books everywhere. No clothes or pictures or anything. Just books and papers everywhere. It felt cozy.

Awww now I thought I was the only one that looked beyond the picture......... To me as some have said it just lets you see a bit more that you normally would not see.

of themselves taken in their messy houses??? Why would you want to post a picture that shows you're a slob? First we need to define a slob. Some people pefer to live in their house, instead of trying to impress everyone by making it look like it's out of better home and gardens. I can't see clothes and trash all over the place though, thats not normal in my opinion. Some people won't go anywhere unless their dress very nicely, while I won't get dressed up to go anywhere. Hey, if smoke stained walls bugs ya, don't visit me. I always thought the kitchen table was for rebuilding carburetors and motorcycle engines too. A slob to me, is someone who hasn't got their tools organized properly, or have clothes lying around on the floor, or don't make their bed every morning. People who keep their coffee pot lookin like new, or dust every day, scare me a little. That reminds me, I gotta go sweep the garage floor. Havn't done that since yesterday. After all, the most important part of a house, is the garage |

I'm not a neat freak by any means, I live in my house but I don't take pictures of it when it's messy

I am a clean freak! The thought of dating someone who lives in their own filth scares me a lot. I dust, wash the floors, and dust the baseboards everyday and vacuum twice a day. I have a “no shoe” policy in my house too. I wouldn’t be a good match for someone who leaves a dish in the sink. Pictures tell a thousand tales. |

I once saw a pic of a girl that she had taken of herself in her bathroom. After forgetting to flush the toilet. Needless to say, I didn't contact her...

Thats a bit compulsive in my opinion. I brush my teeth and floss maybe 4 or 5 times a day, but thats different, screw the house. Just keep the trash picked up and dust every few months, and enjoy life |
