Topic: Depression? | |

I am NOT understanding why so many of my FRIENDS are DEPRESSED? Both of them have GREAT jobs nice homes & just because they are ALONE they are so depressed I mean to the point that they are on medication.......... I mean it would be better to just take vitamins or something GOOD for you! ( LIFE is what YOU make of it!) It's as simple as that people need to appreciate the fact that they have a shower every day, good friends, a bed to sleep in maybe they need to visit the other side of the WORLD where people don't have what we have? Just the fact that i'm HEALTHY & can look around at the beauty of LIFE...........Maybe the fact that the MORE you have the more miserable you are? Is this a cry for help ? |

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.

Maybe you can help them by getting them to work out too. This is basically like saying to your friend with cancer, "I don't see any cancer, it can't be that bad, you should just snap out of it!" You are not a doctor, and depression of any kind isn't an idea that you can just not believe in. Depression robs people of the pleasure of the good things they have. Just because YOU'RE not depressed, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. |
