fostering a pitbull rescue puppy my son has fallen in love with and has named Bonnie...what do I do when they come for her...

Explain as kindly and gently to your son that the puppy has a home already and you are only taking care of it until the owners can pick him up.. Or you can adopt it, if it doesn't have a home. It is totally up to you. I wish you luck in whatever you do.

Yes, pitbulls do have a tendancy for sweetness, it all depends on how they are brought up.

my mother does that with kittens, all of her grandkids fall in love with them, but we tell them ahead of time that these kittens only staying for few weeks... they feel a little sad when the kitens leave but they move on knowing she'll have more kittens in the futures.

I don't see why Pitbulls should be outlawed... Just because some people decide to raise them as attack dogs... But if they are brought up nicely, they usually tend to be the sweetest beings. My neighbor has two pitbulls and they're just loves.
