Doc tells me write down my dreams.
But he don't see what dreams I sell.
As long as my check's in the mail
I think he thinks the dreams are free.
So cash is in.
Green's the new black, orange the new grey.
That's what they say.
I read it in a magazine.
I read a book about my dreams.

There are bills still in the box.
It's been three weeks since I've been out.
Doc once told me sit and pout.
Call up some Chinese. Order out.
And see where that will lead my dreams.

But in my dreams my hands are spiders.
And in my dreams my dreams are dead.
And all the daylight dog hair whispers,
help me remember what Doc said.
Think I'll just take a nap instead.
It's easy when you live in bed.

So Doc calls me for check-ups weekly.
I play along, tell Doc I'm fine.
I've lost my mind and need prescriptions.
Doc tells me that I'm just fine.
I need forward momentum, right?
Find a girl and get aligned.
Doc don't know what's on my mind.

And in my dreams the day is sudden.
There ain't no seasons, ain't no weather.
No more bills, or college either.
No narcotics and no ether.
None of that deceptive fever.
The dead don't have no countries neither.
I think 'cause god's dead in here too.

And Nietzche's over-packing luggage.
Doc's a silver submarine.
I sell my dreams for need of sleep.
But peaceful sleep don't cross my mind.
Black as sky, it's quite serene.
The ocean doesn't ever keep.
It's always scrunched up in my dreams.
Doc don't sell pens.
And I'm too lean...
To buy them now.
Get what I mean?

I seriously had chills reading this, and that is a difficult task to achieve with me. Certain melodies do that to me, song lyrics when heard...but I've never recieved chills when reading a poem, or even lyrics. Brilliant work here, mate, really.
