Topic: Electronic Cigarettes.. yay or nay? | |
---|---|
Some places banned e-cigs with no smoking whatsoever signs. So I left rehab. Is rehab only place that has banned e-cigs in your State? What are some of the other places that have banned them? Maybe it's because of the people who do the vaporizers. They put off a much thicker white vapor, and I think it takes longer to dissipate. If this is the reason, it makes it so hard for the e-cig people. |

If I quit smoking , somebody would die and it wouldn't be me . That said , I tried the Vuse e-cig , not bad but not a real cig either. Ya got a problem with me smoking , then move on.

When my mate was airplane traveling, he used that. Going, he did it in the restroom, but returning, he did it at his seat and no one noticed. I saw a guy do that on a flight.. the people around him looked at him in disgust.. like he was smoking crack.. but the stewardess's didn't seem to mind.. Don't know if that changes since |

Nothing works for everyone, but this is an effective means of quitting for some people. For some people, it appears to be nothing more than a replacement for cigarettes, but that's their business. What worked for me was nicotine lozenges. The problem with e - cigarettes is that they are still a new alternative and there is still not much known about them either way. I would caution against jumping on one bandwagon or the other at this point precisely because of how much we don't know about them.

I think places ban the e-cigs because it pisses off the smokers who aren't allowed to smoke there. And since the e-cigs emit smoke, I guess they count. It's dumb if you ask me. They aren't harmful to anyone near by.

They aren't harmful to anyone near by. they don't emit smoke, they emit vapor lol. i think thats part of it too like you said, people who are smokers get jealous and start complaining because you can vape and they cant smoke. sucks tho, my job wont even let you use an ecig on company property (or regular cigs). not even if i go out in the parking lot they still forbid ecigs because of a fire hazard, figure that one out. i wish i had a job that i could vape whenever i want. but i have been vaping for about 8 months now and i will say i feel way better than when i smoked. i dont feel it is 100% safe as your still putting foreign chemicals in your lungs but i feel its nowhere near as dangerous as smoking. e liquid has maybe 10 chemicals in it, while a lit cigarette emits thousands of chemicals. for anyone who does vape try: Cuttwood Unicorn milk, it is delicious, kinda like strawberry milk/ strawberries and cream. also Archetype blends Bennys brew is slamming, vanilla custard with a hint of cinnamon. but e cigs/vaporizers do work as i have seen a few of my friends quit smoking to start vaping gradually lowering their nicotine to where they eventually quit vaping, so they do work. |

Mmmmmm I think I would like to try to quit smoking than go onto e-cigs... So no/nay for me switching to ecigs will help you quit tho, once you switch to ecigs u can decide how much nicotine you want in your liquid, that way you can slowly lower your dose till your eventually at 0 nicotine. once you get to that point it would be easy to quit as long as your not addicted to the "habit" of puffing on something. i have seen many people go from cigs to ecigs to eventually nothing at all. it doesnt have to be a permanent substitute just something to help you get off the nicotine. nicotine completely leaves your body in roughly 48 hours, so if you can go two days without smoking than your good, if you go 2 days without smoking and then start smoking again its not the nicotine its just your used to the habit of puffing something. alot of times breaking the habit of smoking something is harder than breaking the acutal nicotine addiction itself. but to each his own, if you feel more comfortable going cold turkey feel free, but like i said ecigs can be a effective tool to stop smoking. |

But to some people it's just the same. haha kelly i was only joking with you i didnt mean that to be a di*k. looks kinda like smoke but smells a hell of alot better and dissipates quicker. once i started vaping and didnt smoke for like a week, i could understand why people hate the smell of cigs. when your a smoker you dont realize how bad they stink, once you quit tho its like ewwww. are you a vaper kelly? |
