Best documentary is Standing in the Shadows of Motown, it's a crying shame so many people don't realize the talent and creativity and names of The Funk Brothers who were the musicians behind every song made in Detroit during Motown's heyday. Best Foreign Language Film is Mongol. The best movie you'll ever read, as much action and romance as Braveheart which also belongs on my list but I ran out of room. |

The Shining Shawshank Redemption Seven One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Pretty Woman The Blues Brothers Top Gun The Green Mile Jaws Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Well, both were seen at apparently critical years in my development. One sparked my first life long fear (I've never been more than ankle deep in the ocean again!) and the other sparked my imagination. I felt obligated to put 'em on the list.
