Kenny Loggins was the King of 80's theme songs. Top Gun, Footloose, Caddyshack.

Kenny Loggins was the King of 80's theme songs. Top Gun, Footloose, Caddyshack. Don't forget "Meet Me Half Way", which was from Over The Top. Anyways......The Footloose soundtrack was awesome. Dancing in the Sheets, I need a Hero, Let's Hear It For The Boy.....LOL! Yeah, I had the cassette. Back on topic now.........The Parent Trap (which actually introduced the world to a 12 year named Lindsay Lohan) was a pretty good remake. Always have been a fan of Dennis Quad. |

I agree, I enjoyed both Freaky Friday, and The Parent Trap remake. You can't go wrong with Quaid. |

The first Dune move was a HUGE disappointment. It sucked on so many technical levels the makers of it should have hidden their faces in shame.
Sci Fi Channel redid it and the second movie was a vaster improvement overt the first try! First of all if you are going to make a movie based directly on a story try to get the equipment used right like the Still Suits in Dune. The first version of this movie deviated so far from the original story it lost its charm. Sci Fi captured Dune almost perfectly! |

Did you see the follow up- Children of Dune? |

If you've ever heard of an Australian horror movie called Long Weekend, well, that one got remade as Nature's Grave, and Jim Caviezel was in it. It was better than the original, but that's not saying too much, really. I wouldn't say the remake is a better movie. The original is one of my all time favorite Aussie films- basically the remake is just the same film even written again by the guy who wrote the original. This is a pointless remake, as it added nothing new. I actually kind of hated the original. There wasn't any real sense of dread or foreboding...things just kind of happened. I get the message, but I think it was done in the most boring way possible. The remake, on the other hand, at least had Caviezel, even if it was the same movie. |
