I am no paranoid type, I enjoy life and love people, but occasionally something makes me take note of the worlds current state of unraveling,,,movements made to make God disappear from our lives and our environments,,,,,,it is hard on times to reconcile the love I feel for people and the influence that the WORLD holds over them,,,,, I found this study source and found this topic Unmasking Satan …,,,,in a time when right is wrong and wrong is right and there is so much GREY AREA being promoted,,,,I think its a decent staple towards the type of armor needed in this current system

Overcoming the Devil's Influence

Unmasking Satan …

• His ultimate purpose of making people captives is to stop them from glorifying God by preventing them from understanding the gospel of salvation found in Jesus Christ and stopping the Christians from enjoying the abundant life that God has promised.

• His uses Generational sin and curses( Exodus 20:5 ), transference of spirits ( 2 Cor. 6:14 & Prov. 22:24-25 ),traumatic experiences and personal sin as open doors to come in to our lives. He uses deceptions, temptation and the worldly system of life to drag us into sin.

• Signs and symptoms of bondage in our lives are uncontollble ungodly beahvior, lifestyles and habits, uncontrollable excessive and negative emotions (fear, anger depression and unfrorgivenss) and uncontrollable disinterest towards God. The worst results of demonic activity in a person’s life is extreme demonization or demonic control and inluence. ( Mark 5:1-20 )

• Though Satan seems too powerful, he is still powerless before Jesus Christ. The Devil’s power and authority has been taken away by Jesus from us through His death and ressurection.

But we still have to choose …
Though Jesus can set us free, we still need to submit to Him and His process of setting us free if we want to live a life of freedom and enjoy the abundant life that He has promised to give to us.

From Bondage to Freedom happens when we...

A. Acknowledge that Jesus Christ Alone can set you free. ( John 8:36 )

B. Believe that you can free yourself through Christ Word and power
( John 8:32; Philippians 4:13 ).

C. Turn away from sin and renounce sin in your life. ( 2 Corinthians 6:144ff; 7:10ff ).

D. Firmly commit to God’s process of deliverance through humility, discipline and perseverance. ( James 4:6-8 ).

E. Be involve with God’s people for support and accountability.
( Hebrews 10:25; James 5:16 )

MS, while I agree with the writings explaining some of the tacits of the evil one, as your lead-in correctly mentioned the sense of oppression & all of the so-called "gray areas" being promoted, I wonder... Is it really so much about unmasking Satan or is it more about removing the scales from peoples' eyes, so that they may truly see. Sort of like Morpheus & the red pill helping Neo to "see".

Even with all of this going on, I see this as an exciting time in man's existence. It means that Christ is just that closer to returning in glory for His own. So we need to be busy spreading the Word & being watchful.
