Hello. My name is Kevin Wilson. Here in Mingle world I am known as Dict8. Dict8 has been a fixture here on Mingle since November of last year.

Now...what many of you may not be aware of is that before I became Dict8 I was known as Scorpio90. Scorpio90 is now dead. He's dead because Dict8 killed him. I had to.

Anyway...in his memory I am gonna' give you a run down on the short life of Scorpio90. I must say however that certain information is gonna' be excluded for reasons I cannot disclose here.....

RIP Scorpio

Scorpio90 was created in a one bed-room apartment in Lexington KY in the fall of 08'. I had just gotten the internet (I was a late bloomer to this whole medium) and while browsing sites I discovered this one. I decided to create a profile...thus Scorpio90 was born (Scorpio being my sign, cuz' 70' , my birth year , was taken...as was 80'). I have no recollection of Scorpio's first post however.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I know I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for more.

After becoming a little more acquainted with this site Scorpio90 started posting more and more. He soon developed a style all of his own. Part ingenuity, part sheer ignorance, part insanity. I had no idea how to cut and paste, post links, or download pictures...so Scorpio had to become resourceful. This created a crazy style which either amused people or annoyed the hell outta' them. Scorpio would post stuff as a running dialogue, rarely acknowledging responses...often times completely abandoning posts as if he forgot about em' or just lost interest all together.....

Posting mostly late at night or in the early morning (I was suffering insomnia) Scorpio created a hallucinatory world where everything was amusing...no matter how stupid. Scorpio's main talent was creating something outta' nothing. Not an easy trick I tell ya'. He once posted a thread that was 45 pages about nothing but shrimp.....

Fueled by lack of sleep, Prozac and cough syrup Scorpio would post solely for the amusement of others. He was revered, he was reviled. People loved him and people hated him. He was followed. He was ignored. I received hate mail. I received fan mail..... I was praised...I was reprimanded....

Infamous Scorpio threads include his "Washed-Up Celebrity Cafe" (where he shared drinks with E.T. and Billy Squire), "The Rumpus Room" (made Pee Wees Play House look like a Mensa convention) and his "Talk Show" which was hosted by Charles Manson. One day Scorpio picked a fight with the entire internet. He solicited money. He offered anybody $5 to do a shot of Round Up.

Scorpio90 also invented the drunken song narration (something that Dict8 does to this day). Amongst songs Scorp narrated: "The Gilligans Island Theme", "Heartbreak Hotel". the theme to "Cheers"...

Stupid ideas included doing an interperative dance to the Emergency Broadcast System and creating products such as Instant Nothing (just add nothing) and Instant Water (you get the idea...)

He was once hunted down by the alphabet and had to hitch a ride on an exclamation point in order to hide out in the periodic table.....

Another strange quirk about Scorpio was his picture. Notice I say picture and not PICTURES. This is cuz' he only used one. It was a picture of me sitting in front of a christmas tree holding 2 dogs. It was an innocent enough picture. I kept it for 2 reasons. 1) Because I had no idea how to up-load photos ( a friend of mine put that up for me) and ...
(2 It looked like such an innocent and wholesome photo that I felt it was ridiculous considering the ludicrousness of Scorps posts. The contrast was something I found quite...uh,...insane....

Amongst the crazy e-mails Scorp would receive...one person accused me of being the Ant-Christ, another told me that her and her friends all thought I was a perv, another told me she wanted to have my baby,...another told me to 'just shut the f*** up and kill yr-self'....

And, of course there was the infamous Scorpio90 trade-mark. It was this>

Nothing else seemed to do. Nothing else seemed to match the sheer retardness of this guy> ...and it summed up Scorpio's personality perfectly.....

A little over a year ago I stopped taking Prozac and consequently had to be hospitalized ( a lesson learned: always take yr meds Kevin.) Anyhoo...I returned about 7 or 10 days later to discover people wondering where the hell Scorpio went. I found this touching. I seriously thought at the time that people would actually be happy that he was gone, see? (At the time the party line was that I had to get my appendix removed. A shameless lie....)

I always thought Scorpio attempted to rob a bank in Mexico and was subsequently imprisoned for life and shacked up with Juan 'The Man Rapist' Pedro?
