Just because one finds themselves falling for another it does not mean they feel the same. Most likely they don't or they would be with that one instead....

Seriously.. I would reduce the amount of time you spent with your friend. This allows for time: time for them to see where their relationship goes.. time for you to see if it is just infatuation.. time for you to move past (or find a way to deal) your feelings (out of sight, out of mind yanno??). |

Lust...I believe the word you meant to use is 'lust.'
And it is irrational, love is actually irrational in most usages. Most people use the word love without actually knowing why, or how it should be used. There is a far jump between love and obsession, a very far jump. |
