Go to your phone book, look in the front, there should be a number on the first page for Domestic Abuse. You will need guidance to get out and to learn how not to get back into another situation like that. You will be able to go to self help groups, where you can learn strength and skills that will help you to get out, *Do not* mention this to the man living with you, because that is really all he is, and a very sick one at that..
If there is no number call 411 or the police non-emergency number and they will get you the right number for your area. If you do not drive, someone may be able to come get you. Please do this for yourself before 911 is called and you are SERIOUSLY hurt. It can and does HAPPEN. Violence only escalates with people like that..
He needs help too but right now YOU take care of YOU, because you are the only one who will be with you the rest of your life and the only one who will. You cannot help him. period. You will not change him. period. You can not love him enough that he will someday stop. Get help. NOW.
