give up your life for a stranger? It's a tough question. It sounds
simple "yes" but if it came down to it and you were at say a coffee shop
and there was someone pointing a gun at a person you had never met would
you intervene?

I think my answer is,no. Not now that I'm going to be a mother...it
sounds selfish but I guess acts like those are for those on another
level than I am....

Sorry my mind wanders alot now....lol

I would probably have a heart attack as soon as I saw the gun pointing
at someones head.....so would that be giving my life up for a stranger,
cause it would distract the shooter?

Some people risk their lives for strangers every day and don't think
twice about their relationship to the person they're helping. When the
right thing needs to be done, There's plenty of folks who step up to the
plate.

Every situation is different, But I don't think that when it's time to
act, You consider your own mortality. You quickly try to calculate how
to act effectively to defuse a potential threat.

 When I was about 18 some guy who was old and DRUNK,
We were both at a TRAIN crossing and the train had stopped for a moment
and when it stopped HE (the drunk guy) started to climb up on the train
and it was still knoking the sars in small motion,,,he was slipping and
falling so I ran to him and could not get him to just get down ,,,,so WE
CROSSED it together,,,and all the people watching from their cars
started honking and giving me thumbs up,,,,lol
But we could have both had our life taken,,,and I had no idea who he
was,,just someone needing HELP!

If I thought there was a way to intervene without getting myself killed
I would...If not then probably not...I have 2 kids too that I have to
think about!!!!!!!

I have three kids and I have done "to much" as an adult but would still
do it all again as to die helping another would be a lifetime
insperation for my kids and grandkids to remember ME for, or as...and we
all have to go sometime anyway,,,the HOW, and WHEN, we never know.

I really don't think you have time to think about it in most situations.
You either do it or you don't. We all know deep inside what we're made
of.

True Glenn...I know myself and I would probably react regardless without
thinking...I would have to intervene!!!!!!!

thats probably the kind of decision that would be made in the moment
even though we might think we might do one or the other we might
actually end up doing quite the opposite when it comes down to it. you
can never know for sure how you will react to the energies that are
around you and sometimes we are for a lack of a better work "compelled"
to do things that we normally never would.
