Hi everybody, this thought just came to me. How many of you usually have more than one, maybe 3 or 5 or 10 windows open at the same time when you're on the internet? I find myself doing that alot. It took some getting used to, but now, I kind of enjoy it. Can you multi-task?

I always have several windows open.

Me too, lately it's been this(Mingle), facebook, pokerstars, and youtube, sometimes one of the news websites.

Well...when I was repairing computers, before I retired...I would have as many as 10 computers at the same time on the work benches.

All of them at different stages of diagnostic or repair process at the same time.

I had a regular office chair with wheels, and I would wheel myself from computer to computer to basically repair/diagnose , keeping up with what was wrong with each.

I guess you could call that multitasking. Even now, I keep at least 7+ browser pages open at all time...while logged onto several sites.

Yea...it is a way of computing for me.

It's all good as long as you can do it. Sometimes it reminds me of those people that play several slot machines at once, or play 5 or more bingo cards, or cooking an entire meal and have to watch several pots at once. I am always amazed at myself and other people for what comes naturally to them at multi-tasking. Maybe they would have been a good drummer or pianist. It also makes you a good parent and/or a spouse.

i mingle from my phone...so i text,mingle,listen to music,make calls..etc...that multi tasking enough??

Ohh at times I may be on IM talking to a couple of people too.....

Lets not forget answering e-mails too.....

I usually have about 5 open -- one of them is whatever book I'm writing at the moment, the rest are just putzing around on various sites....

Well then you are a master multi-tasker and for that I salute you. You're gonna make a great mother someday, if you aren't already. And if you're not, maybe you'll be a good government employee.

Lmao, shshs already been down that road my kids are grown and have a granddaughter as well.

Hummmmmm now to get that government job would top it off....
