Just wondering how everyone makes the first move when they see someone on here that they are interested in. do you nudge, add to favorites, add as friend, sent a letter, or something else? would love to know

I usually don't make the initial contact. But in my opinion, a nice email is always the best idea. I find it kind of weird when someone just adds me to their favorites and doesn't say anything, and nudges are only slightly better (unless you've "met" this person in a forum before). Easiest and fastest way is to send a email saying hi and outlining the fact that you find them to be someone you'd like to get to know (or see if there are enough things in common for a meeting) ... after that, it's up to them. They'll check out your profile first, and then decide if they want to respond. That's cool too, 'cuz it's always better to know which ones aren't interested up front 'cuz that way you don't waste time on the people who don't think there's anything there but don't have the courtesy of saying 'Thanks, but no' ... it's all good ...

Some get annoyed and may even block someone if they send a
friend request out of the blue without previous contact
although I don't personally care, nudges I generally ignore
though unless from someone I know and talk to frequently.
The best advice is to email, maybe find either something
you have in common with that person, or just something you
find interesting in their profile and turn that intoan icebreaker.

I rarely do this, but I only message guys if I find something interesting about their profile or feel like making a bold move. Other times I'll go off "Stealth Mode", look at their profile, turn "Stealth Mode" back on and go my merry little way. Other than that, I'd rather the guy message me.

do what's comfortable for you. if you'd make eye contact in the real world, maybe nudge them; if you'd go over and say hello, send an email. i wouldn't do a friend invite unless you've made contact. idk about others, but i usually ignore those if i haven't met them in the forums or received an email first,,,,speak to me people!!
