Obama bumper sticker fuels violent political road rage in Tennessee.
After picking up his 10-year old daughter from school yesterday afternoon, Nashville resident Mark Duren was driving home when he was suddenly and intentionally rammed from behind by Harry Weisiger. Enraged at the sight of Duren’s Obama bumper sticker, Weisiger gave Duren “the bird” and then hit him from behind, leading to a violent series of events. Nashville’s WKRN reports:

“He pointed at the back of my car,” Duren said, “the bumper, flipped me off, one finger salute.”

But it didn’t end there.

Duren told News 2 that Weisiger honked his horn at him for awhile, as Duren stopped at a stop sign.

Once he started driving again, down Blair Boulevard, towards his home, he said, “I looked in the rear view mirror again, and this same SUV was speeding, flying up behind me, bumped me.”

Duren said he applied his brake and the SUV smashed into the back of his car.

He then put his car in park to take care of the accident, but Weisiger started pushing the car using his SUV.

Duren said, “He pushed my car up towards the sidewalk, almost onto the sidewalk.”

These idiots did this with a child in the car?

Sad thing is nutcases like this aren't going to care who is in the car when they do things like this.

True, but the father stopped the car with this lunatic right
there and got out, instead of getting themselves to someplace
safe?

If he had left the scene of the accident, then called it in, wouldn't they have told him to go back to where it happened?

That being said, I would never have gotten out of the car with a crazy person like that around.

Not if their lives/safety were in immediate danger, he could have
gotten the plate and car info from the SUV, driven to the nearest
police station, given it to them with the report, and they would have gone and arrested him. Let's face it,
with that type of psycho, arrogant attitude, and the fact that
his vehicle will be messed up, how is he going to deny anything?

I don't particularly like guns, but I do keep a bat in a couple
places around the house, and one in the car.

No, honestly they would find out where he is and come pay him a visit with the handcuffs. It's a felony to flee the scene of an accident.

Yes, if he had just taken off and someone else had turned both
of their info in, but if no one had, I really don't think the
guy in the SUV would have, what's he going to say? I just committed
like 10 crimes against this other guy and he didn't exchange info
with me? The cops would deem it an acceptable alternative to what
might and could have happened to not only himself, but his child, as
long as he went straight to them and reported everything.

I don't do that, but I do occasionally mutter "that's the kind
that get anywhere from flipped off to shot at".

It just shows the integrity of those who hate Obama.

Also any other type of overly-aggressive behavior while driving...some just don't stop to think of what the
horrible reprecussions of "getting even" and such could be
not just to themselves and their "targets", but to innocent
people around them.

Best way to overcome stupidity is bombard it with intelligence. Get lots more bumper stickers of Obama and post them everywhere....lol

Unfortunately that doesn't ALWAYS work...but it's a pretty good
start.
