I got a ways to go for that myself....I remember hold my kids for the
first time though and it was just incredible.

I wouldnt know about grandchildren, however I have a good friend who I
remember feeding from a bottle when I was about ten who now has children
and man did that make me feel old!!!! and the little **** had the balls
to grow up and be over a foot and a half taller than me too!!!!

Totally awesome. She was born C-section, the nurse came out of the OR
and had me follow her into the nursery and weighed her and then handed
her to me while she did the footprints and other things, was too cool.
Grandkids are the best. The first time they spit up on you is memorable
too. And when they start talking and call you gampa or gamma is real
cool. When they start walking and put their arms up to you to pick them
up, when their faces light up when they see you, nothing like it in the
world.

Holding my Grandson for the first time was an outer body experience,
exspecially since i was thier and helped deliver
him,, way to cool,,,, have two more grandbabies due this year one anyday
now and the other in Dec.... The best gift god can give beside our
children,,

I have heard that being a grandparent is the greatest thing in the
world and that was a statement my mothers father made when he had his
grandkids. I was the last one he had before he died and I was only 2 1/2
years old. I never knew my grandpa's, and I really wish they could've
been around longer. Enjoy them. I do know one of my friends who is 47
and he has some grandkids and I really think he is so proud to be a
papa. I may never be a grandma, but look forward to it someday, but my
daughter is only 14. There was a girl at her school in 7th grade this
year that had a baby and another girl we know who is only 16 is having
one this fall. I hope they will be good mommies. God has a purpose for
everything and it is his will that things work out the way they do.
Well, best wishes. I do know how exciting it is to have nieces and
nephews and even more special when they have kids. I am fixing to be a
Great Aunt for the fifth time this weekend as my niece is going in to
have her labor enduced, it's a girl. I will get to go out to Oklahoma
and see her real soon though and really looking forward to it. She is
the one that I posted about that has a little boy with Autism. Children
are just a wonderful Blessing from God. God Bless you and I hope things
go real well. Keep us posted as to when the little miracle comes along.

Haha Zap when you're grandchild grows older will you put him on the top

I get to find out what that feeling is like in Oct.

ummmm...haven't held my grandchildren yet(my boys would be killed if
they had kids already)...lol..but I have held friends grandchildren.

There is nothing like it.My grandson is 10months old now,but I spend
more time at my son's house then my own.I can't get enough of him,they
are so precious.So enjoy God's little blessing
