PORTLAND, Ore. -- A 19-year-old skateboarder died from a head injury in a fall on a steep hill on Bull Mountain Friday.
Washington County deputies said just before 7 p.m. medics found neighbors doing CPR on Henry Langhaim on SW Autumnview Street. Investigators said it appeared that Langhaim was going down a hill and lost a wheel, then crashed into the sidewalk. He was not wearing a helmet. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. (i called my nephew tonight for hes a skateboarder and he works 2 jobs one for a skateboarding company and another for a healthfoodstore as a cook.... i told him about what happen with this kid and i ask him does he wear a helment. aparently he doesnt but after what i told him. hopefully he would.. my nephew one year came home from work for lunch and of course on his skateboard. he was going back to work and his roommate followed him. not actually sure what happen but he ended up landing on a barbwire fench and it went through his stomach they said if it went in a differnt direction he would had died... he thought it was funny.. no its not.. he has a pic of him smiling with tubes coming out of his arms |

How sad. We all, but especially at that age, have the
tendency to think things "won't happen to us". |
