Has Christianity been lost?
Christianity became lost due to The Trinity when Man tried to claim that a human name Jesus was God therefore placing a human above God Christianity went from having faith in a God that couldn't be seen to worshipping a human God that could be seen and it doesn't take faith to do that .... Christianity when it comes to God can now be viewed as "seeing is believing" ....a Quantum leap into Pantheism |

Christianity when it comes to God can now be viewed as "seeing is believing" ....a Quantum leap into Pantheism "Man tried to claim that a human name Jesus was God therefore placing a human above God" How do you figure so? We are all a part of God, Jesus, you, me, EVERYONE. And christians don't "worship" Jesus, for Jesus was the son of God we worship God through Jesus. "Christianity went from having faith in a God that couldn't be seen to worshipping a human God that could be seen and it doesn't take faith to do that" Yes it does take faith to do that. If i told you i was the begotten son of God, would you believe me and or have faith i was telling the truth? And Jesus did lots of miracles even in God's name to show people that he truely was the son of God. I've never heard of anyone else being able to walk on water or heal a person by just saying for it to be done. And you may say Jesus could not have done these things, it's all just a fable. But then why is our other books from history not looked at this way? Why does the bible get treated this way? |

I was referring to The Trinity which is a concept used to place a human above God as pertaining to why Christianity is lost ...but I notice you made no reference to that ...so I guess the most logical question to ask is which Jesus do you worship.. Jesus as God Jesus as the son or Jesus as both |

Why does the bible get treated this way? now you know how the Jews feel about what Christians have done to the Old Testament No not exactly. The old testiment is the creation of earth and the laws God set out forth for the people in the old testiment times. History pretty much. Everything works in phases, we have the phase of our days, years, and so on. The new testiment is pretty much Jesus' life and the laws we are to abide by now, or the second phase of earth. |

I DID NOT make God usesless 2. The old testiment isn't useless, it tells us of how the world came to be. How the world was *history* and why it is how it is now. But also, this is why alot of bibles are sold with just the new testiment and no old testiment in it. |

Christianity, as faith in Christ,, has not been completely lost
many have lost their faith,, of course but many have also had their faith restored and reinforced |

really don't understand the bible at all . christianity not lost just the fact that the more they translate\rewrite the bible they shorten the message .. tampering with history

Well, Christianity started exactly with the belief that god would come to earth as a man, so you`re saying that Christianity has always been lost? If thats what you meant, you shouldn`t say that "it became lost" Btw Christianity believes that god and jesus are both the same, jesus can`t be just a man, he`s a man and a god. But indeed, any creationist belief is a failure. ![]() |

Isiah 7:14 All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means 'God is with us'). I guess its always an issue of interpretation. I do agree we are not to worship Christ however, we are only to worship God and love Christ. |

I do agree we are not to worship Christ however, we are only to worship God and love Christ. according to Isiah Jesus isn't the Messiah or the Christ ...the Messiah name will be Immanuel ..Jesus's name was Yeshua Immanuel (which means "God is with us")....points to God as being omnipresence not that Immanuel will be God Christianity as it seem is based on the wrong Messiah, but if it still brings people to God then what is wrong with that, the problem arises when The Trinity places a human name Jesus above God or on the same level as God .... this makes it possible that a human can be God and opens the door for a human to claim to be God and this is how The Antichrist will come to power Christianity itself could be responsible for the prophecy of Revelations in which the Antichrist armies will be comprised of Christians following the Antichrist they believe is a human God |

Christianity is a mish-mash of religions preceding it. Like those religions, it evolved and changed over the centuries. Humans make gods and make rules to fit their own needs and desires--this is reflected in the evolution of deities since recorded history.
The savior Jesus reflected the wants of downtrodden people who sought a way to escape the tribulations of their lives. It wasn't going to be accomplished on this world, so the focus was on the next. It beat out Mithraism (yet took many aspects from that religion) because Mithraism excluded women; it beat out many pagan faiths not because the pagan faiths were inadequate to meet human needs, but because Christians soon lost their meek and mild stance and achieved conversion by force. So, has Christianity become corroded? Do you mean Pauline Christianity or the Christianity of the gnostics who looked to Peter as their founder? Do you mean the Christianity as practiced by Constantine? How about the inquisitors? Was Christianity truly ever practiced as laid forth by Jesus? I was wondering if Christianity has become so corroded over the years that the original message has been lost. I don't understand why it is that Christ preached love your neighbor more than yourself, that when you give you shouldn't let your right hand know what your left hand is doing, that you shouldn't be the one to throw the first stone, and that you shouldn't pray on the street corners because your reward would be from men and not from God. So here is my question, why are the Christians of today seen as the most judgemental(against Christ's message) most boastfull(again against Christ's message) most willing to throw the first stone(again against Christ's message) It's gotten to a point where I'm almost afraid to call myself a Christian...but I refuse not to because that is what I am. But why are so many Christians claiming to be Christ-like while they are throwing stones? and praying so long and winded(pride) for everyone to hear how "holy" they are(they have their reward from men) Maybe I intepret the teaching differently but to me being Christ-like is doing things to show love to other's without expecting anything in return...your return will come later. "If someone forces you to go one mile, go with them two" doing things out of pure kindness/love that don't necessarily make sense...but shows something different about you. |

Isiah 7:14 All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means 'God is with us'). Call me crazy, but if I were Joseph I would: A) be weirded out that I didn't have an appropriate sounding name for the area and time I live in ... B) wonder the same thing about my wife ... C) be extremely pissed that my wife got pregnant before we could consummate. I've never heard of anyone else being able to walk on water or heal a person by just saying for it to be done. Actually, in ancient feudal japan, it was said that ninjas could run on water. ![]() |
