The Jazz Singer with Al Jolsen and Roman Holiday are must see films. I think I read that Karen in Goodfellas was watching The Jazz Singer when the feds where searching her house after she signed the warrant. It was Al Jolson wearing a tux I think it was and doing a whistling part of a tune..That's the most I've seen of the movie right there, heh.

abbott and costello!! and charlie chaplin!! Abbott and Costello are great. Both their movies and their TV shows(the entire series was released on DVD). Even their weaker movies are better than the majority of today's comedies.
