Having spent three weeks in a hospital in Naples, Florida with my wife I couldn’t help noticing what was going on in the hospital and I had a lot of time to talk to the doctors and nurses about what I had observed. Below is a commentary from an ER Doctor. Do you think this might be a big reason our health care system and our social security system are so screwed up? Do you think this might be a big reason our taxes keep going up? Who do you think these people are going to vote for?

From a Florida ER doctor:

"I live and work in a state overrun with illegals. They make more money having kids than we earn working full-time. Today I had a 25-year old with 8 kids - that’s right 8; all illegal anchor babies and she had the nicest nails, cell phone, hand bag, clothing, etc. She makes about $1,500 monthly for each; you do the math. I used to say, “We are the dumbest nation on earth.” Now I must say and sadly admit: WE are the dumbest people on earth (that includes ME) for we elected the idiot idealogues who have passed the bills that allow this. Sorry, but we need a revolution. Vote them all out in 2010. "

If the immigrant is over 65, they can apply for SSI and Medicaid and get more than a woman on Social Security, who worked from 1944 until 2004.

She is only getting $791 per month because she was born in 1924 and there's a 'catch 22.'

It is interesting that the federal government provides a single refugee with a monthly allowance of $1,890. Each can also obtain an additional $580 in social assistance, for a total of $2,470 a month.

This compares to a single pensioner, who after contributing to the growth and development of America for 40 to 50 years, can only receive a monthly maximum of $1,012 in old age pension and Guaranteed Income Supplement.

Maybe our pensioners should apply as refugees!

Consider sending this to all your American friends, so we can all be ticked off and maybe get the refugees cut back to $1,012 and the pensioners up to $2,470. Then we can enjoy some of the money we were forced to submit to the Government over the last 40 or 50 or 60 years. And not to receive a increase for 2010 Vote them all out of office…….

It might be more accurate to ask whether she came here legally, through all of the protocals and paperwork, or snuck in.

At this point in time, there are laws stating the legal ways to come into a country. If you or your family followed them, then this doesn't relate to you. If however, they didn't, then this propoganda actually is valid.

My ex neighbor, and I say ex for a reason you'll soon find out was bought here. She came here to see her family, met a man, married him and had a son. He took off. She came to Nevada, worked for Station casinos for 8 years on a green card. She got hurt on the job and all Stations did was fight her tooth and nail. After 3 months she went back in, they wrote her up 3x in one day and laid her off. They wanted her to work and do things the MD said she shouldn't. She tried to collect Welfare. She could only get it for her son, who is Amercian. They said they were going to get them housing but they are shipped from motel to motel, and thats ONLY because she has a child. She gets foodstamps for him. 178 a month. He (was)a 'A' student- 11 years old. He gets medicaid, she gets zip. She couldn't pay her bills, nor her mortgage, lost her place then couldn't collect unemployment because the green card expired and it was a long process to get it reinstated, she's getting her citizenship. So...it's not all what the docs presume, he had one, and we've seen it but they are far and few between. It's not that easy for them either especuially when the ones who are trying are losing everything just like us and are getting anger from everywhere they turn.

So by that logic... if I come over to your house, with guns and glory and imtimidate you to the point of taking your house, it belongs to me??? Of course not... because you've justified the point of the Europeans colonizing this country, doesn't make it acceptical in terms of reality!

I'm sorry, I've seen nothing in human history that shows otherwise. We are predators and we take over by conquest. Winner takes all. It's how we grow, and expand. That's the reality.

the same people that cry over illegals coming to america and living on welfare are the same that don't shed a tear when Israelis illegally occupy territory and by military force, force families out of their homes and then wonder why groups like Hamas fight back. It shouldn't matter how someone comes here to get a better life. I will agree that if an illegal commits a crime, then he/she should be deported instantly, this case apparently doesn't apply.

The phrase "ooga booga", comes to mind. You see... we as humans have shown much progress in ways otherwise. In reality , we have become a civilized race. I'm sorry you got left behind. If your gonna make excuses for yourself that's fine, but PLEASE! don't use modern society, or ME to justify your excuses!

If humans were civilized, Chile wouldn't be dealing with looters so soon after their earthquake, and asking for military aid to stop it. New Orleans with Katrina wouldn't have had to deal with looters. And that's the simple things. We agree to act civilized, but in reality we aren't. It's just convienent to go with the flow.

If there is a program that pays 1500 per month for each child, sign me up. I dont know of any welfare or assistance program that does such a thing though.

I think the details of these stories are a bit exaggerated, is what I am getting at. However, the point of how fair it is to put those born and raised in this country AFTER those who already have countries of their own is well made. I disagree with how softly illegal immigration is handled, I dont fault the people, I do fault the unequal application of the laws. A law is only useful if it applies equally. Immigrants should not be permitted to disregard the checks and balances of entering and living in the US, it is a slap in the face to all the immigrants who wait their turn through the checks and balances line to come here legally.

I dont know any other country that allows such leniency for what amounts to national trespassing.

Actually, no. I'm more of a circle the wagons and shoot anyone dead who dares hurts me or mine, but then I can survive, without the need to loot and steal. In the case of life or death, I and mine are more important then you or yours. Society and civility take a back seat, to making sure my needs are met.

Good question on the old age pension, msharmony. I know dad is trying to figure this out right now with regards to retirement, and he and mom are totally confused by it.
