poised at a precipice looking down tropical pali knives in air old green volcanoes ledge steps cauldera mouth vertebrae of pacific spine a thousand mile wind deflects here shot skyward on a rock slide gravity and wind teeter totter falling goes nowhere hovering the slightest wing shift acceleration a cliff cruise or a reckless plunge toward earth and sea a twitch a race through canyons discovery by commanding view deft control adrenaline and revelation
