Topic: O.K. Movie buffs...

...no cheating. (using google or any other internet search) Just off the top of your head. 1. In consecutive years, the Academy Award for Best Picture was won by a rated G movie, then a rated X movie. Name the two movies. I'll post the answer later today, if nobody gets it.

Midnight Cowboy (Rated X) won an Oscar. I don't know the Rated G one. I will assume it's something Disney though. How about Cinderella. On a side, Clockwork Orange was also Rated X but didn't win.

Midnight Cowboy (Rated X) won an Oscar. I don't know the Rated G one. I will assume it's something Disney though. How about Cinderella. On a side, Clockwork Orange was also Rated X but didn't win. Yes. I believe both Midnight Cowboy and Clockwork Orange have since been downgraded to an "R" rating. Or at least they should be. The other is NOT a Disney movie.

I had to look up the G-rated movie. Makes sense now. I guess I assumed it was a cartoon.

I had to look up the G-rated movie. Makes sense now. I guess I assumed it was a cartoon. I noticed this year "Up" is nominated for Best Picture. I liked it, but I doubt if it will win. It's also nomiated for Best Animated Picture. It might win that.

I read the book "Midnight Cowboy" long before I saw the movie. A very adult story, although I think the X rating was a bit much even in it's time. Does anyone remember when movies were rated "M" for Mature audiences?
