A Child's Point Of View

I'm not sure when it started
I do know when my heart changed
I sort of felt indifferent
My life was being rearranged

It happens so often
All my friends tell me so
It's not anyone's fault
It's just time to go

What should I think
Will my love grow
Will I be like my parents
Just putting on a show

I will never understand
Nor, will I agree
Why they started a life
The one in me

Times sure have changed
Divorce is on the rise
Parents not in love
You can see it in their eyes

Love should be true
It should be forever
When you start a family
Creating a treasure

I hope I can see my way
Trough all the sorrow
Wanting something more
A happier tomorrow

I love them both
From the bottom of my heart
I can't turn back time
A new life will start

As I walk away

Can I forgive
When a new love is found

I am just a child
