To Write A Poem

Said to myself
The other day
Time passes quickly
My dreams fade away

Taken for granted
They would come true
I speed through life
And, I still do

Can't get a grip
Trying real hard
Only if I did that
Played that card

When will I know
When will it happen
Will I hear the sound
Of Another body clapping

Feel sorry for myself
Yea, I guess so
I felt love before
What did I know

It all came to pass
As the years crumble bye
I looked in the mirror
I started to cry

I took a deep breath
And, closed my eyes
Thought of you
All the lies

Came back to earth
Smiled a bit
Put out the fire
The one I lit

Felt my skin
It feels so tight
Want to jump out
Win the fight

So I stay strong
I stay at home
It lets me feel better
To write a poem
